ESPR 2025 BAK

This is a bak-up page of the ESPR 2025 Congress website, as a memory and source for future events.

WELCOME TO THE EUROPEAN CONGRESS OF PAEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY!

TOGETHER at E.S.P.R. 2025

Romania is not only about Dracula and not only about the tumultuous release from one of the worst communist dictatorships. Romania is also about cultural heritage, authentic traditions, rich history, wild nature, famous brands, or sport champions… The E.S.P.R. 2025 Congress will be a good opportunity to discover all these and meeting Romanian radiologists too!

It took only two years for the Roentgen’s discovery to reach a Romanian hospital, and about twenty years to settle down in a children hospital. The following 110 years of Romanian paediatric radiology will conclude at E.S.P.R. 2025, when we hope to definitely get our place in this marvelous community.

We invite all paediatric radiologists from Europe and worldwide to come TOGETHER at an unforgettable event, sharing diverse experiences, top level science and having a wonderful time!

Facing various uncertainties, we have to keep TOGETHER, as Europeans, as Radiologists, as Paediatric Radiologists, for our common goals and principles!

Welcome in Bucharest, June 2nd – 6th, 2025!

Bogdan-Stefan Olteanu MD, PhD, SL

Congress President

STANDARDS OF CONDUCT WITHIN THE ESPR MEMBERSHIP

The overall mission of ESPR is that all children should have optimal health and well-being and are valued by our society. To achieve this goal, ESPR expects that all society members practice the highest quality of health care and use the best available diagnostic equipment and therapeutic interventions to promote the well-being of our young patients.

ESPR recognizes that its international membership consists of a broad and diverse community. Therefore, our goal is to establish strong connections, expand our perspectives, and promote unlimited collaboration among all members wherever they practice. All of these efforts are dedicated to benefiting our patients, who deserve the best available treatment, delivered with the utmost respect. With sincere passion, we truly value, and promote diversity and inclusiveness amongst all the individuals, groups, and vendors with whom we interact, collaborate, and share partnership.

ESPR fosters a working environment that embraces and celebrates diversity, promotes inclusiveness, and treats all individuals with dignity and respect. During all of its activities, the ESPR family expects that the working environment remains free from all forms of harassment, intimidation, hostility, or other offensive behaviour. Every member is expected to treat others with respect and professionalism, adhering to generally acceptable social behaviours. Any inappropriate actions will not be tolerated.

If a member believes that they or another member has potentially been subject to any form of harassment during one of our meetings/courses, they should report the alleged misconduct to the current society president. The president will then work in conjunction with the trustees to examine the case and provide guidance to the member. Strictest confidentiality will be protected to the greatest extent possible.

Moreover, the ESPR endorses the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity 2023, which builds on the following principles:

Reliability in ensuring the quality of research, reflected in the design, methodology, analysis, and use of resources. Honesty in developing, undertaking, reviewing, reporting, and communicating research in a transparent, fair, full, and unbiased way. Respect for colleagues, research participants, research subjects, society, ecosystems, cultural heritage, and the environment. Accountability for the research from idea to publication, for its management and organisation, for training, supervision, and mentoring, and for its wider societal impacts. Finally, it is of crucial importance that researchers master the knowledge, methodologies, and ethical practices associated with their field. Failing to follow good research practices violates professional responsibilities. It damages the research processes, degrades relationships among researchers, undermines trust in and the credibility of research, wastes resources, and may expose research participants and subjects, users, society, or the environment to unnecessary harm.

Any research misconduct incidents including stealing of ideas proffered within ESPR working groups, fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism should be reported to the current society president who will handle the allegations together with the research committee chair, the trustees and the respective taskforce chair where applicable, in a discrete, fair, consistent, transparent fashion, according to the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity 2023.
